Anita Donovan

A Bucks County, Pa., resident, Anita holds a B.A. from Wheaton College and an M.A. from the University of Missouri. She is a theater and classical music critic for The Times of Trenton and an editor of The Bristol Pilot, a weekly in Bucks County. Chemo-Therapy received an award of merit in the East Central Theatre Conference Playwriting Competition in 1995 and a reading at Summerfun Theatre Festival, Montclair, N.J. It was given a staged reading in Mill Mountain Theatre’s Centerpieces program in 1997. Flea Market, After Rain, another one-act, received a reading at the New Hope Performing Arts Festival in July 1994. The one-act Soft Centers received a reading from Summerfun Festival in 1996 and a lunchbox reading at Mill Mountain Theatre, Roanoke. It subsequently won second place in the National One-Act Competition at the Little Theatre of Alexandria, Va., and was produced in December 1997.
